Manhardt Dibbern handed over the reins to the new Managing Director Wolfgang E. Reinhold. Keddy-Autovermietung GmbH was founded as a short-term car and van rental provider. By the end of the year, the ever expanding LeasePlan contract portfolio included 13,000 vehicles.
On 1 January 1991, the Hamburg, Neuss, Frankfurt and Stuttgart branches were established. There were six employees in Hamburg, ten in Neuss, five in Frankfurt and three in Stuttgart.
Space at the headquarters in Neuss was getting cramped again, so the Keddy Car Rentals, Sales Service and International Sales departments were relocated to another office building in the Neuss Industrial Estate. It would be another two years before all the staff in Neuss were reunited again at the new building on Hellersbergstrasse 10b.
LeasePlan introduced Total Quality Management and worked continuously to systematically optimise service quality. There were now over 21,000 vehicles in the total LeasePlan fleet. They were managed by around 140 employees.
Our premises at Hellersbergstrasse 10a were finally bursting at the seams, so LeasePlan moved into the new building at Hellersbergstrasse 10b, which has been the company headquarters ever since. The move was celebrated at an event with 500 invited guests in late summer. The keys were handed over in the airy heights.
LeasePlan was the first manufacturer-independent fleet management company in Germany to obtain EN ISO 9001 certification. Our mission statement and corporate philosophy were based on the total quality management concept and they have come to guide all our actions.
LeasePlan received the State of North Rhine-Westphalia’s Quality Award for the use of a task force to optimise invoicing.
Ingrid Brakels, HR and Organisation Director, was appointed as industry representative on the North Rhine-Westphalia Quality Award jury.
LeasePlan Deutschland obtained EN ISO 9001 re-certification.
