TravelCard Aral

If your service level agreement includes Fuel and Incidental Costs, you can use the TravelCard Aral to settle all fuel invoices and car washes with our service partners, Aral, Agip, and OMV. Payment of refills, car washes, and small parts is restricted exclusively to these oil companies.

All stations accepting credit cards are provided with terminals and so-called PIN pads (no acceptance without PIN code). These Aral, Agip, and OMV stations display the ROUTEX logo.

All BP stations displaying the ROUTEX logo also accept the TravelCard Aral. Please remember: the card will not be accepted without PIN code. Please note that there are no longer BP stations in Germany since Jan. 01, 2004.

Please make good note of your PIN code. Do not write down the PIN code on your card and do not keep PIN code and card in the same place. For the card to work properly, the magnetic strip must be intact. For this reason, the card should not be exposed to car radios, loudspeakers or magnets or direct sunlight.

When you pay with your TravelCard Aral, please always enter your secret personal 4-digit code and the actual total mileage of the vehicle.

Have the staff of the fuel station give you copies of the vouchers, and then check and sign the copies to confirm their validity. Keep the vouchers handed to you for your own control purposes.

At the time of returning or switching your vehicle, you are obliged to return all fuel cards to the oil companies. The same applies to expired or defective cards. Please destroy the cards prior to returning them to us by cutting through their magnetic strip. Send the fuel cards to the following addresses:

The TravelCard Aral also provides additional Insurance Protection. The holder of a valid TravelCard Aral made out to the holder's name is insured with an insurance coverage of Euro 15,000 in case of death, Euro 30,000 in case of disability, Euro 60,000 in case of full disability, and Euro 500 to cover rescue costs. The insurance covers the day on which the car is refilled and the corresponding fuel invoice is paid for using the TravelCard Aral plus the three subsequent days. The insurance coverage commences at the time the driver enters the premises of the fuel station.

The insurance coverage applies throughout the world to all accidents the insured is involved in acting as the driver of the motor vehicle with regard to which the TravelCard Aral was issued or as the driver of a rental car that was rented through the use of the TravelCard Aral or via the LeasePlan Rental Car Service.

Moreover, the insurance protection also extends to company premises of the contract partners associated with the TravelCard Aral system. Accidents that occur during entering or leaving the car are insured.

The right to exercise the rights of the insured in a case of damage is with the insured in case of invalidity or his/her heir in case of death.

Any accident likely to lead to a compensation liability must be reported in writing to LeasePlan within three days. In all other respects, the General Terms and Conditions of Accident Insurance shall apply (Allgemeine Unfallversicherungsbedingungen, AUB 88).

If the Maintenance/Repair Service was agreed between the parties, the TravelCard Aral is proof of your authorisation to use workshop services.

If the Tyre Service was agreed also, the TravelCard Aral authorises you to obtain tyres from our tyre partners.
